DEER LAKE UNBEATEN IN WCSHL PLAYOFFS

S A T U R D A Y

Deer Lake Red Wings have advanced to the finals of the West Coast Senior Hockey League. They improved to 3-0 in the double round robin playoff series as they edged Port aux Basques 5-4. The Corner Brook Royals are 1-2 and the Mariners 0-3. Next weekend Port aux Basques will play Corner Brook and the Royals play Deer Lake.

 

 

F R I D A Y

Corner Brook Royals  downed the Port aux Basques Mariners 11-7 at the Bruce Arena. Josh Smith led the winners with three goals with Daniel Noseworthy and Jeremy Bishop added two goals each Matt and singles came from Matt Colboure, Lucas Fabijancil, Kristan Kavil and Ian Woolfrey. Robert Mercer  and Dylan Savory had two goals each for Port aux Basques. Drew Nadon, Scott Francis and David Budgell had singles for the Mariners. 

 

And Saturday night the Mariners go to Deer Lake to play the Red Wings.
