Vandals Captain Adam Hill accepts Sully Cup from John Collins, President of the NL Rugby Union

 

 

RUGBY BALLThe St. John’s Vandals RFC won the Senior Men’s Provincial “B” Championship and the Sully Memorial Cup on Saturday defeating the Mt. Pearl Dogs 22 to 15 at the Torbay Rugby Pitch. For the Vandals, despite high winds and driving rain, Gregg Fraser managed to kick two conversions and a penalty goal while Jeff Aylward, Mike Rudofsky and Gud Bjarnason scored tries for the winners. Grant Casey, Chris Hammond and Alex Rogers grounded tries for the Dogs.

 

In the Senior Men’s Provincial “A” Goodyear Cup series the Mt. Pearl Dogs won a 24 to 12 match over the Conception Bay Baymen at the Sgt. Ned Nugent’s Rugby Pitch.
