TALKS WITH CITY AND PRO TEAMS ADJOURN FOR NOW

1 min read

The talks have adjourned not broken off between the NL Growlers and St. Johns Edge and St. John’s City Council.

The three met on Monday and it appears the City has changed its offer to the two teams.

A news release from Council states they changed the game night rental fees from 45 hundred dollars to 2 thousand dollars per night per game. Also the city asks that the food and beverage share be 70/30 with the city getting the higher amount which is no change from the previous agreement.

As far as the Cities share of the Corporate Sponsorship the City wants a half million dollars which is no change.

There is no idea as to when the talks will continue as the Growlers have commitments to the Toronto Maple Leafs who are in the city.
