It took eight innings but Kelly’s Pub Molson Bulldogs edged NTV Hitmen 2-1 in senior fast pitch softball play.
Sean Clear in relief of starter Liam Myers gets the win. Cleary pitched three innings did not give up a hit walked two and sent seven down swinging, Myers pitched five innings allowing three hits four walks and fanned eight.
Robbie Green is the losing pitcher. He allowed two runs on eight hits and had eight strike outs.
With The Game Tied 1-1 Heading To The Bottom of the 8th Inning: Stephen Strapp was placed on second base to start the inning (ISF Tie-Breaker), Strapp advanced to third base on a pass ball and Gary Bruce hit a SAC Fly to centerfield to score Strapp with the game-winning run.
The Bigs go on to a 12-7 decision over Kelly’s Pub Junior Canadians. Don King reaches a milestone with career win 100. He had 14 strikeouts in this game.
