  St. John’s, NL – August 23, 2025 – Team NL athlete Gavin Baggs of Paradise, NL, has capped off a historic run at the 2025 Canada Games in St. John’s by securing a silver medal finish in the 400m Wheelchair Men’s Race today. Baggs’ outstanding performance marks a monumental achievement for Team NL, as he added his third athletics medal of the Games to his collection. Thursday, August 21, 2025 A fast paced and very physical match between Team NL and Team Alberta Thursday evening at King George V field in St John’s. it was a very good game with both teams not letting up the whole game. ST JOHN’S, NL – Repeat wins for the returning Mens and Womans champions at the 2025 Royal St John’s Regatta today at Quidi Vidi Lake. Both Capital Home Hardware and Volkswagen won the Men’s and Woman’s Championship races respectively again this year defending their title. In the Mens race official course time was 9:55.24 .  Twenty-two secons ahead of the number boat East Coast Kia. Caps win 2025 Senior Baseball championship

ST JOHN’S, NL – The St John’s Capitols walked away with the BaseBall NL Newfoundland and Labrador Senior Men’s Baseball Championship today at St Pat’s ball park in St John’s. The lopsided win over the Mount Pearl Blazers saw the Blazers put one run on the board in the first inning but the Cap’s posted three and it was all the Cap’s game after that.
