Newfoundland Climbers at the Canada Eastern Regional Championships

Montreal, QC – A huge weekend for competitive youth climbing in Newfoundland! Youth athletes and coaches from Cove Bouldering and Wallnuts climbing gyms in St John’s represented the province at Climbing Canada Youth Bouldering Eastern Regional Championships at Beta Bloc in Montrea, Quebec.

Many firsts. It is the largest team from Newfoundland to ever compete out of province. Seven athletes qualified for the national championships, the highest number ever. Five climbers advanced to final with one of them, Owen Lang,  getting a bronze medal.
