MUN WOMEN HAND ACADIA FIRST LOSS

Memorial SeaHawks women’s basketball team handed Acadia their first loss of the season Sunday beating Acadia 87-79 at the Field House. 

Alana Short led Memorial with 25 points and Sammi Decklin Sharpe backed her up with 17 and Haille Nickerson added 14.

The men’s basketball team made it a sweep of Acadia with an 89-76 decision over Memorial

Cole Long led Memorial with a 22 point performance and Nathan Barker backed him with 14 points.

Cole Long scored 34 points had eight rebounds and 2 block shots as Memorial Sea Hawks men’s team defeated Acadia 91-72.

Emmanuel Ring contributed 13 points in this game.

Acadia improved to 5-0 in AUS women’s basketball Saturday night as they defeated the Memorial Sea Hawks 89-74 at the Field House.

Haille Nickerson led the Memorial team with a 21 point performance.
