Memorial women’s basketball team is now in first place in the standings.
Sunday Memorial downed St F X 82-63 to improve to six wins and two losses and now have 16 points. They picked up eight points this weekend because of the four points awarded for wins on Saturday and Sunday.
Haille Nickerson again led MUN with 28 points and Sammi Deakin Sharpe added 12.

The Men’s Basketball team finished the break before Christmas with a 5-3 record following an 102-85 win over St F X Sunday. Cole Long scored 28 points for MUN and Nathan Barker added 21.

Memorial women’s basketball team improved to 5-2 on the season on Saturday as they defeated StFX 71-62.
Haille Nickerson paced Memorial with 23 points and teammate Alana Short contributed 14.
This was a four point game for Memorial with the win.

The Memorial Men’s team dropped to 4-3 on the season losing a close one 99-91 to the hometown StFX Axmen in a game that went into overtime.
Cole Long as he has done all season led the Sea Hawks offensive attack with 29 points. Emmanuel Ring and Jason Thompson both added 14 points.
