Bay Roberts native Dawson Mercer is up for a major award in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Mercer is one of the three finalists for the Best Prospect award. He played with Canada’s team that claimed gold at the World Junior Hockey tournament this year. He plays with Chicoutimi in the Q.
