SHAMROCKS, VIKINGS WIN IN SR BASEBALL SEMIS

Defending champions Shamrocks beat Holy Cross 5-2 in the opening game of their best of five St John’s senior baseball semi final series.

Scott Goosney pitches the win and Sean Janes takes the loss. Gerry Stone hit a two run homer for Holy Cross in that game.

Meanwhile Roebothan McKay and Marshall Gonzaga evened their series with Knights with a 19-1 win over Knights in a game called after 5 innings by league mercy rule.

Keith Spurrell gets the win and Matt Sullivan takes the loss. Both series resume Saturday at St Pats.
