EDGE LOST BOTH HOME GAMES

The Edge lost their second game on home court Sunday 111-100 again to Moncton, Guillaume Bouchard had 21 points for the Edge and Todd Browne added 16. Carl English had 11 points for the Edge.

The Edge go against Moncton next Saturday in Moncton and then on to Halifax Sunday.

F R I D A Y

The St. John’s Edge lost their season’s home opener to the Moncton Magic on Friday night 95-91 at Mile One Center. A crowd of 6,080 fans watched the Edge battled until the very end coming as close as 2-points from tying it within the last minute.

The Edge were bolstered by the return of Carl English to the lineup. Putting up 11 points and 5 assists over 32 minutes was a welcomed sight as he works back to full game shape. Maurice Jones was the Edge top scorer with 17 points and Todd Brown backed him up with 16 points.

Moncton were led by Billy White who score 21 points with 8 rebounds, with Isaiah Tate contributing a solid 17 points off the bench.  

St. John’s (1-2) ace back in action on Sunday afternoon in a 3:30pm once again against the undefeated Magic.
