It appears that there will be peace in the East Coast Senior Hockey League for the upcoming season.
But hold on HNL now has thrown another curve at the teams.
First of all all teams in the six team league came to an agreement that the CBN CeeBee Stars would be welcomed back into the league. That now clears the way for the season to start albeit it about three weeks later than planned.
According to a post from the Clarenville Caribous GM Ivan Hapgood the season will start Saturday November 16th.
The Sportspage has learned that the teams signed an agreement that NO team in the league would be involved in interlocking games. But hey not so fast. HNL which put pressure on the East Coast Senior League to accept the CeeBee Stars into the league has now added yet another twist to this fiasco.
According to sources HNL has said that the CeeBee Stars must play interlocking games with teams from Gander and Grand Falls. So one has to ask what does this do to the agreement the league had each team sign saying they would not participate in interlocking games? HNL has other plans and may stop the league again from operating if the CeeBees won’t play in interlocking games set down in law by HNL.
And so it goes.
