The Hawks scored three runs in the third and seventh innings and defeat Monarchs 11-2 in Corner Brook Senior baseball play Friday.
Veteran Frank Humber went the distance allowing seven hits, walked one and fanned three.
Brad Brewer went four innings and takes the loss. He was roughed up for ten hits. He issued two free passes and struck out one.
Stephen Sheppard came in relief.
Mike Simms had a great night at the plate for the Hawks going five for five. Colton Kennedy homered for the losers.
