The Conception Bay CeeBee Stars made it back to back wins in the Avalon East senior hockey final series Saturday night. Brett Shute scored twice and assisted on another as the CeeBee Stars down the Northeast Eagles 4-2. They now have a two games to one lead and regain home ice advantage. Kenny King and Matt Thomey had the other CeeBee Stars goals. Mark Chaplin and Matt Squires replied for the CeeBee Stars.
Goaltender A J Whiffen made 27 saves to get the shutout and the win.
Game four is set for next Friday at the Jack Byrne Arena.

The best of seven Avalon East Hockey League final series is now deadlocked at one game apiece. The Conception Bay CeeBee Stars get a goal from Kenny King at 10:21 of the third period which stood up as the winner and the CeeBee Stars edge Northeast Eagles 4-3. That win now gives the CeeBee Stars home ice advantage once again.
Matthew Thomey scored twice for the winners and Daniel Sparkes had a single.
Sean Wadden tallied twice for the Eagles and Chris Ryan added a single.
Game three will be played Saturday night in Harbour Grace.
