Remax Super League curling regular season wrapping up

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – The ReMax Super League curling is drawing to an end and the leader board is showing who will advance to the playoff round. Six teams will advance. Several teams clinched a playoff spot after a difficult season with Covid delays and many teams travelling to other competitions and provincial championships.

There are still a few make-up games to be played with some happening this coming weekend, and two games by Team Young when they return from the Brier. Those games will determine the 6th playoff spot with Young, Alex Smith and McNeil Lamswood in contention.  Currently, playoffs are planned to start sometime around the 22nd of March.

The current standings;

  1. Peddigrew                10-3 (clinched 1st place)
  2. Noseworthy              9-3 (clinched playoff spot)
  3. Symonds                   9-3 (clinched playoff spot)
  4. Skanes                      9-4 (clinched playoff spot)
  5. Greg Smith               8-4 (guaranteed tiebreaker)
  6. Young                        7-4
  7. Alex Smith                8-5
  8. McNeil Lamswood    7-5
  9. Hill                            5-7
  10. Mitchell                    3-7
  11. Curtis                       4-9
  12. Strong                      4-9
  13. O’Leary                    1-10
  14. Goss                         1-10
