Matt Hanson tallied a pair of goals and Trinity Placentia Flyers defeated Northeast Celtics 6-2 Sunday night at Jack Byrne Arena. Jordan Richards, Jordan Mercer, Tyler Whittle and Dakota Seaward had singles. Jon Cooper and Curtis Kavanagh scored for the Celtics.

Bobby Upshall and Andrew Pollard scored two goals apiece in the Mount Pearl Blades 8-3 win over Southern Shore Breakers. Michael Broaders, Wesley Fox, Matt Rex and Stephen Predham added singles. Tyler Templeman, Claude Moulasion and Peter Kavanagh had the Shore goals.

Chris Mallard popped in a couple of goals St. John’s Caps doubled C-B-N Stars 6-3 in junior action Saturday night. Jason Michaud, Lee Gulliver, Grant Nolan and Josh Thornhill added singles.

Ryan Dawson, Jared Walters and Devin Whelan replied for C-B-N.

Trinity Placentia Flyers were 6-1 winners over the Roebothan, McKay and Marshall Avalon Capitals.

Jordan Richards tallied twice for the winners and added an assist. Colin Jackson, Matt Hanson, Jesse Morris and Cole Thorne contributed singles.  John Snow had the lone Capitals marker.

Mount Pearl Blades get five goals from five different players and beat C-B-R Renegades 5-1. The goals were shared between Stephen Predham, Bobby Upshall Michael Broaders, Jared Ostroski and Grant Thompson. Ryan Day replied for the Renegades

F R I D A Y 

Two games were played in the St. John’s Junior Hockey League Friday night.

The C-B-N Stars fired 49 shots on goal overcame a 1-nothing first period deficit and go on to a 6-2 decision over Northeast Celtics.
Ryan Dawson connected for a pair of goals for the winners with teammates Devin Whelan, Colby Murphy, Cody Batten and Riley Deering adding singles.
The goal scorers for the Celtics were Tyler Bennett and Josh Taylor.

In a second game C-B-R Renegades were 8-2 winners over the Southern Shore Breakers.
Lucas Lush and Luke Tilley tallied twice each for the winners. Cody Abbott, Nick David, Andrew Barron and Colin Chafe added single markers.
Daniel Alyward and Shane Kavanagh were the Shore goal scorers.
