Defending champions Newfoundland Galway finished round robin play at the Canadian Fastpitch championships with a 10-2 win over Ontario Alvinston. They have a 4-1 record.

Sean Cleary tossed the win going four innings allowing two runs on four hits. Robbie Greene came in relief. Cleary had nine strikeouts.

Brad Ezekiel  and Shane Boland homered for the Galway squad.

Newfoundland suffered its first lost Thursday night at the Canadian Men’s Fast Pitch softball championships as they were beaten 5-2 by Kitchener Ontario.

Newfoundland now 3-1.

Colin Walsh takes the loss in this game as Kitchener scored three first inning runs in this game.

Brad Ezekiel was the top hitter for the Nfld team.  He went two for three with a home run.

The Nfld squad has one game Friday they meet Alvinston of Ontario at seven o clock island time Friday.

 

Defending champions Galway Hitmen have a 3-0 record now at the national men’s fast pitch softball championships.

The Newfoundland squad defeated Nova Scotia Hants 7-1.

Colin Walsh pitches the win on a six hitter. He did not walk a batter and fanned seven.

Brad Ezekiel and Shane boland both went three for four. Boland had four rib hitting two two run homers.

The Newfoundland team Galway won its second game at the Canadian fast pitch championships beating Saskatoon 10-5 for a 2-0 record so far.

Blair Ezekiel gets the win allowing ten hits, walking four and getting nine strikeouts. He also went two for three in this contest.

Jeremy O Rielly was the Newfoundland top batter going three for  four.

They play Nova Scotia at 4:30 island time today and Kitchener Ontario at ten o clock tonight

 

 

 

 

 

The Canadian Men’s Fast Pitch softball defending champions–Galway– from Newfoundland won it’s opening game at the 2015 Championships Wednesday.

Jason Hill pitched a three hitter, walked three and fanned five as the Defending Champions blasted the Host Quebec team 11-4. The game called after five by the mercy rule.

Hill and Blair Ezekiel went three for four.

Hill hit a three run homer, Ezekiel, and Jeremy  O’Rielly hit home runs in this game.
